Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Apprenticeship Programme Manager to join our Siemens Mobility Education and Skills Training function. In this role, you will be responsible for the programme management employers to meet their business talent and apprenticeship requirements, the on-boarding of learners and the management of the apprenticeship schemes. You will develop the apprentice programme to gain personal, professional, technical skills, knowledge, and competencies required for the company to achieve its strategic objectives and manage administrative aspects of the apprenticeship to ensure the successful management of learners. Supporting and contributing to the evaluation of the effectiveness and enhancement of the apprenticeship programmes, exploring trends, innovations, and applications within the industry will also be part of the role. We are flexible on where the ideal candidate will be coming from, although there will be regular travel to our locations in Chippenham and Northampton as well as our other locations across the UK. What are your responsibilities Support the Apprenticeship Accounts and Programmes Professional Group (AAP) with the onboarding of apprentices onto programme, including collating personal data, prior learning and BKSB Support the AAP Professional Group with the coordination and delivery of onboarding/induction training and events Support BD & Governance Professional Group with contracting between customers and training providers Create and develop relationships with employer stakeholders Plan learner journey to qualification for allocated apprentices Use LMS (OneFile) to report on apprentice progress to stakeholders, and manage learner data Manage employer meetings, record actions and follow through Generate and maintain KPIs of account and apprentice performance Understand, implement and comply with the Siemens HSEW policies Provide pastoral learner support in line with Siemens contractual obligations as defined by Siemens Mobility Professional Education UK Develop an apprenticeship community that maximises the learners’ well-being and forges links across sites and externally where appropriate Support the delivery of apprentice engagement/satisfaction at work Support the Senior Apprentice Programme Manager to build relationships with relevant colleges to support NTAR / Siemens Mobility apprenticeship programmes Support the Senior Apprentice Programme Manager in managing external training providers and colleges to ensure they meet the standards required (including due diligence, learner reports and educational standards) Carry out regular learner progress reviews for apprentices Facilitate the assessment of apprentices’ technical, professional, and occupational competence against the relevant apprenticeship standard, UKSPEC, and business CMS. Provide candidates with individual feedback and actions as specified in the assessment plan and Individual Learner Plan What do you need to qualify for this job Essential: Experience in an industry with high levels of regulation and compliance Experience of vocational programmes/qualifications in the engineering sector Excellent knowledge of Safeguarding Interpersonal skills to liaise with customers at all levels Effective relationship building Effective negotiating and influencing skills Excellent communication skills Attention to detail Good presentation skills Excellent organisational and time management skills Aptitude to IT systems Able to work on own initiative as part of a virtual team Preferred: CIPD Learning and Development Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience Excellent knowledge of vocational engineering apprenticeship standards Excellent knowledge of education inspection framework requirements for young learners Experience using OneFile or other LMS system Good working knowledge of English QCF This role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
