The candidate is expected to Lead and guide technical team in solution design, development and testing methods to maintain highest standards of quality, reliability, flexibility and scalability of analytic solutions.

Role & Purpose

The BW/HANA Solution Architect is responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the best use of Business Warehouse (BW) HANA and native HANA to design efficient, flexible and scalable analytics solutions. The Candidate needs to understand the business needs and processes to design solutions that fulfill the business requirements. He will perform design and leading other developers during critical projects, enhancements and services.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide technical architecture design, consulting and implementation leadership for Business intelligence projects
• Develop application road maps/implementation approach & project plans for BW / HANA
• Establish and enforce the highest technical standards for all development teams to adhere to.
• Provide guideline and best practice on sharing the SAP HANA model results to the business audience
• Work with functional and technical teams to understand business requirements and priorities
• Provide best practice in area of BW / HANA implementation on architectural and conceptual level
• Support definition, estimation, and propose solutions for business opportunities
• Provide best practice, tips and tricks for using the tool for the developers and technical implementer
• Create architecture and technical design documents to communicate solutions that will be implemented by the development team
• Provide best practice on how to document the solution used in BW/ HANA
• Provide guideline on service setup (roles and responsibilities, capturing demand, providing service to the business over the tools)
• Develop proofs-of-concept and prototypes to help illustrate approaches to technology and business problems.
• Provide best practices on BW on SAP HANA development, infrastructure, test, and production solution deployment for project and future use
• Present solutions and options to leadership, project teams, and other stakeholders adapting style to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborate with other architects to ensure continuity of solutions at a later stage
• Extensive experience in SLT
• Good understanding on SDI/SDA
• Implementation/Migration experience of moving SAP BW/HANA to the BW4HANA platform
• Added advantage to have BW/HANA Application Certification

Critical Competencies/Minimum Requirements:

• At least 15 - 20 years working experience with SAP suite,
• At least two implementations on SAP HANA as architect,
• Hands on HANA Models/ BW on HANA /BW4 HANA is desired.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to fluently use MS Excel and MS Access ,
• Knowledge of SAP data structure on ECC .
• Experience in one of the data reporting dashboard tools like Analysis Office or Business objects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills,
• Self-driven, motivated individual who can efficiently influence delivery in matrix Organisation,
