To be responsible for architecture design work for all assigned AP China executed IG B&E projects, ensure architecture design work executed smoothly in timely, cost effective and high-quality manner and support team goal of Global engineering & design team. The job holder reports to Design Manager directly.

The job holder is assigned to perform in house architecture design for all IG B&E-China executed projects and providing as requested design support across the other countries. This position requires relative senior level of engineer who is able to perform the required architecture design responsibilities and provide proper judgment in reviewing junior engineers’ architecture design drawing. The job holder is also expected to provide architecture design and construction material estimation in supporting to PDE and support architecture team infrastructure building work as required.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Manage and design/review/approve various aspects of architecture design for various buildings of AP plant.
  
• Coordinate with other function to manage the interface per company QA/QC requirement and perform cross review appropriately.
  
• Be familiar with national & industry Civil/Structure engineering code and standard, specification and international industry Civil/Structure engineering standard/code
  
• Coordinate and communicate technical issues among various groups, including Shanghai, Asia, US and Europe and LDI.
  
• Conduct architecture engineering and detail design work and related construction cost estimation for projects executed in China and/or other countries as required. Review architecture basic and detail design drawing and spec completed by outsourced design or vendors
  
• Support project proposal estimation, project execution, construction QA/QC, as build drawing. Initiate architecture design changes as necessary.
  
• Support Civil team infrastructure building, including lesson learn sharing, technical issues solving, and low- cost design initiatives and coaching junior engineers/designers, etc.
  
• Any other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Job Incumbent is expected to have minimum 12 years work experience in Architecture Engineering for Coal Gasification, Coal Chemical, Oil and Gas, Chemical or Petrochemical related industry with China Design Institute or engineering company.
• Job Incumbent is expected to have Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Architecture Engineering
• Job Incumbent is expected to be national registered architecture engineer, class 1 is preferred.
• Job Incumbent is expected to have certain management skills and with 5-years’ experience in supervising a team with the scale of several persons.
• Working level for both written and spoken English.
• Job Incumbent is expected to prepare architecture related technical documents, drawings, specification and cost estimation, either by in-house design or reviewing contractor’s design deliverables.
• Job Incumbent is expected to be skillful in drawing, using AutoCAD & other appropriate architecture drawing software
• Job Incumbent is expected to be able to travel to site as required.
• Job Incumbent is expected to well understand China local architecture engineering design code
