The Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA IFC) is seeking a candidate for a part-time position teaching Foundation Studies in Art and Design beginning mid-December 2015-through April 2016 (excluding the Chinese Spring Festival month). CAFA IFC is specifically seeking an interdisciplinary practitioner who has a background in architecture or interior design.

Teaching Days/Hours
Tuesday: 8:30am-5:00pm
Wednesday: 8:30am-12:00pm
Friday: 8:30am-5:00pm
+ additional planning and assessment time

The ideal candidate will be:
• Passionate for teaching and learning;
• Reliable and eager to work as part of a dedicated team;
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Background Experience/Qualifications
The successful candidate should:
• Hold a masters degree (or equivalent) in Architecture or Design;
• Be a native or near native English speaker;
• Demonstrate teaching experience related to Fine Arts or Design;
• Experience with Chinese students is preferred;
• Have knowledge of Fine Arts and Design history and supporting theoretical context;
• Be familiar with the academic requirements of international art and design institutions;
• Have excellent software skills including Adobe Creative Suite;
• Demonstrate strong workshop skills.
