We are seeking an experienced and passionate Capability Transformation Head to join our Innovation and Business Excellence department and head up the Capability Transformation Team. The role will be based in Stockholm/Södertälje, Oslo, Copenhagen or Helsinki. 

The role

It will be your and your team’s responsibility to transform the Nordic Marketing Company’s ability to go to market and to evolve the commercial model to meet the needs of connected and empowered patients and healthcare providers. The Capability Transformation Head engages with Business Units to develop commercial strategies, operations and cross-functional best practice sharing.  

The role supports the Nordic Senior Management Team with frameworks and models to prioritize strategic resource allocation to ensure optimal Nordic business performance. You will work across all four Nordic countries and together with your team drive business planning, salesforce and marketing excellence, CRM and capability building within the organization.  

Belonging to the Innovation and Business Excellence team, you will not only be supported by your Capability Transformation team but also the Business Intelligence Team, Digital Innovations Team, the IS/IT Team, the External Events Team and the team to run the under-establishment Patient Health Innovation Hub in Gothenburg. Alongside this, you will also liaise with global and regional experts to gain and share insights and best practices for efficient execution. 

What you´ll do 

  • Lead and manage the Capability Transformation team of 5 people specialized in Capability Building, Salesforce Excellence, Marketing Excellence and CRM.  
  • Develop go to market effectiveness in the organization with regards to methods, tools, planning and monitoring, ensuring increased effectiveness in the Business Units. 
  • Support and deliver a step change in the skills, knowledge and capability of the commercial organization by providing industry leading tools and approaches for building and executing brand plans and through coaching and training. 
  • Identify opportunities, support strategy development and implementation of how strategy is being executed by implementation teams and customer facing roles. 
  • Provide support for the development of skills, knowledge and capability within the Business Units (BUs). Raising capabilities in marketing by assessing key capabilities, suggesting gaps, supporting career planning and training.  
  • Share best practices across BUs and enabling functions.  
  • Facilitate the competence shift needed for the expected decline in established brands and multiple launches demanding new competences, strategies and operations.  

Typical accountability 

  • Be the link between Global Commercial Excellence and Nordic IBEX and the BU’s 
  • Support cross-BU sharing of best practice in terms of commercial excellence 
  • Spread group-wide best practice within Commercial to the Nordic organization. 
  • Communicating and packaging Nordic best practices to the Global Commercial Excellence organization by identifying, preparing and communicating case studies 
  • Setting up scenarios to be used in for example SMT plans 
  • Support SMT plans and review with leading commercial excellence knowledge 
  • Lead the Capability Transformation Team and support them in enabling the Nordic organization within Salesforce Excellence, Marketing Excellence, CRM management and Capability development. 

In order to succeed, you have 

  • University degree or equivalent previous experience. 
  • +7 years professional experience within the fields of business development, operation, sales or marketing  
  • Pharmaceutical commercial experience 
  • Strong leadership skills with experience of leading cross-functional teams. 
  • Successful in managing internal and external stakeholders 
  • Strive for innovation and creativity and ability to foster innovation 
  • Good problem solving and project management skills, with delivery focus, ability to work to tight timelines and manage priorities 
  • Advance communication and influencing skills 
  • Experience of an iterative approach to solution development and delivering with a regular release cadence  
  • Ability to gather and interpret data to inform business decision making. Analytical and strategic thinking 
  • Strong command of the English language 

Desirable / Optional 

  • Coaching experience, training and Development experience 
  • FLSM / Brand manager experience 
  • Pharmaceutical experience both towards primary and secondary care 
  • Experience in functional areas such as Sales training and Marketing  
  • Segmentation and Targeting skills 
  • Commercial experience from other industries, preferably one with a more advanced digital model 
  • A good sense of humor
