What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Regional Director of Sales & Marketing, this role resides at our Central Canada Location: Fairmont Royal York, Toronto, ON, Canada

  • The position is focused on providing well-conceived, accurate, and impactful information to assist management in guiding improved performance for Central Canada Hotels (Fairmont Royal York, Fairmont MacDonald, Fairmont Palliser, Fairmont Winnipeg, Fairmont Chateau Laurier, NCA Region )
  • Gather important company data and compile it into reports for top level management and stakeholders. Take charge of a project and deliver results to help the organization be more profitable
  • You will work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into digestible information that improves the hotel and region’s sales and marketing performance
  • Develops and administers the reporting schedules to ensure key management colleagues receive the sales/marketing/ financial data on a timely basis to support the business strategy
  • Monitors evolving needs & business strategy and leverages opportunities for efficiencies in reporting & analyzing the results of the business
  • Support the Regional Team and hotels with data analytics, etc. covering operations in Central Canada
  • Responsible for automating and enhancing the reporting structure as needed (i.e. converting to Excel, develop intranet location for report access etc.)
  • Drive implementation & utilization of new reporting systems to provide more accurate, and timely tracking methods for reporting data
  • Ensures that the integrity of the reports is maintained. Documents and critiques system of internal controls
  • Develop B2B sales reports to monitor overall and business segment performance for hotel sales, events, and banquets
  • Assist RDOSM in the management of the sales, conference services, and catering accelerate performance program
  • Identify business trends utilizing real data, compile analysis reports that are delivered to top level management/stakeholders and follow-up on results
  • Study different growth areas and new potential markets based on the identification of long term trends
  • Make recommendations to improve sales results for the purpose of achieving objectives
  • Build comprehensive situation analyses with relevant data to help sales and event teams refine sales actions and contextualize issues to bridge client data and internal data
  • Create direct channels of communication to Accorhotels Central Teams and hotels to provide results on tracking and reporting issues

Your experience and skills include

  • The ability to use Excel is critical to create pivot tables and formulas related to sales and marketing, macros (VBA) and Tableau knowledge are a plus and PowerPoint may be used to conduct presentations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are important in this position, and must also be organized and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Relevant sales and marketing experience 
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

Physical Aspects of Position (included but not limited to):

  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs 
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting 
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Frequent sitting throughout shift
