You will support the defined Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process in the assigned Asia region in Motion business at Subang Jaya, Malaysia location. Reporting to Regional Sales Manager and increase new and existing business by supporting the local Sales organization to have relevant knowledge of products and markets.

Your responsibilities

  • Participating in sales strategy discussions for assigned area, agreeing short- and long-term goals and assists in developing Drive Products sales budget for assigned LSU.
  • Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by local sales organization. Ensuring efficient marketing actions (e.g. product launches) and communication to local sales organization and customers and communicates the value proposition.
  • Supporting the local sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers, providing technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations and offers product/solution/service related training, being responsible for defining the transfer price to local sales organization focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for Drive Products
  • Taking ownership of specific customer cases to ensure efficient customer issue resolution. Being responsible for analyzing lost proposals to increase future competitiveness and supporting LSU to meet 2021 budget level for Drive Products / System Drives.
  • Ensuring safe working procedures and practicing are always followed including the wearing and maintenance of assigned Personal Protective Equipment; attendance at required health, safety and environment training; report injury, incidents, hazards and near miss events. Model safe work behaviors in all aspects of work and actively identify hazards and risk controls.
  • Driving and holding itself accountable for the highest standards of health, safety and environment to ensure Zero Harm is achieved. Responsible for compliance with relevant HSE policy and procedures, ensuring proactive risk assessments take place and corrective actions monitored/followed up. Building an injury, incident, near miss and hazard reporting culture within your team, guaranteeing reported incidents will be investigated and action taken.

Your background

  • Degree in BA/BS Engineering; Minimum Associates Diploma required, 5 years of Experience in an industrial sales environment.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel; Demonstrated Negotiation skills.
  • Results orientation like drive to exceed goals & improve business practices for higher performance levels.
  • Strategic orientation like defining own plan within larger strategy & contribute to strategy beyond own area, listen, Value, Engage, teamwork & actively demonstrate teamwork & facilitate collaboration.
