Highest local authority for Mexico, Puerto Rico and Caribbean Region Distributors. Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all activities in the company. Identifies and recommends the short, medium, and long-term business strategies to the AV CALA Area Head & GM. Prepares and is accountable for the company´s plans and budgets. Identifies and develops business opportunities in coordination with AV CALA Area Head & GM. All local sales and marketing functions such as sales force report to this function. Responsible for local and legal compliance.
Manages the sale of AV products or services in both countries. Develops sales strategies and forecasts sales volumes for all products/services/channels in Mexico and Puerto Rico domestic market and to Caribbean Region distributors. Ensures the attainment of profit and operations goals.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and drive to work towards achieving Company vision, objectives as well as Division mission and strategies.
- Define the business strategy oriented to AV development in both countries and Distributors area.
- Identify actual and future business opportunities and support the CALA Area Head & General Manager.
- Manages the operational budget effectively.
- Creates mid- to long-range plans to carry out objectives established by the CALA Area Head & General Manager; develops and calculates a budget to meet organizational goals; forecasts future needs including human and material resources and capital expenditures; determines and establishes organizational structure and supervisory relationships subject to CALA Area Head & General Manager approval.
- Directs and controls the activities and budget of all functional areas, product groups and/or operations.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Makes and executes operational decisions with a strategic perspective.
- Presence in main local and international congress to develop a strong relationship with KOL’s.
- Recruits, coaches and develops organizational talent.

- Provides direction and guidance to personnel; evaluates performance of and assists in career development planning for subordinates; often responsible for a major segment of the company.
- Establish a relationship with all other Divisions inside Abbott.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor Degree in related field, Master Degree preferable
- Significant leadership experience with at least 5 years of experience in Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical or Nutritional Business as Business Unit Manager or Product Manager
- Bilingual: English and Spanish

- Up to 4 direct reports with a team of up to 22
- Regional responsibilities: Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Caribbean
