Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in managing security operations in a corporate environment.
  • Experience with security technologies, including CCTV, access control, incident management systems, and security operations centers.
  • Experience managing employees or contract vendors.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with advanced physical security, investigations and compliance management.
  • Demonstrated high ethical standards and ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with excellent judgment.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

About the job

The Global Data Center Security team operates secure data centers throughout the world, through a scalable, holistic, and efficient physical security program. It is our goal to bring dynamic, innovative, and functional security solutions to the Data Center environment.

As an Area Security Manager, you'll manage corporate security and Data Center physical security management within the area. More specifically, you will plan and measure budget performance for multiple sites and develop strategies for cost improvements or efficiency with minimal impact. You'll act as a resource expert to other functional managers on issues such as emergency events, critical incident response and investigations. You'll manage vendor staffing needs across multiple sites and execute security policies and procedures. You'll support Campus Security Managers and Security Program Managers in problem-solving and workflow management and leverage localized successes to implement area-wide program enhancement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to keep operational costs to a minimum, improve efficiency, and maintain an appropriate security posture.
  • Use knowledge of laws and practices of investigations regarding criminal, corporate or compliance incidents as they relate to structures within their area.
  • Ensure multiple sites compliance with all government and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Own security management of multiple campuses in a geographical or functional area.
