Eaton’s North America Electrical Sales division is currently seeking an Area Service Sales Manager to join our team. This position is based in any of the California Eaton Sales Office locations. Relocation assistance will be provided if residing outside 50 miles of one of these locations.
Position Overview:
The Area Service Sales Manager will be responsible for managing a customer base, sales resources, products and channels to market to achieve planned results for the district. This individual will provide leadership and development to a sales team consisting of sales professionals, sales reps and the distributor channel. Expected results include but are not limited to growth in sales and market share, channel development as well as developing talent within the district. Position includes travel up to 25%.

In this function you will:
- Negotiate, cope with ambiguity, work through complex problems, and manage conflict
- Have the technical aptitude to understand and position solutions within the respective product category
- Execute and communicate compelling value proposition and strategy internally and externally
- Manage different maturity levels in the market, and varying business cycles
- Ability to manage sales engineers in a different market
- Ability to demonstrate remote sales team management.
- Have a strong knowledge of managing products, product applications and distribution channels
- Ability to navigate and cooperate with operation to meet and exceed customer urgent requests.
- Influence without authority, in a matrix environment and have a professional presence to clearly be in command in difficult sales situations
- Grow sales and market share
- Develop employee talent and the channel.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years electrical industry sales/marketing experience
- Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Marketing
- Prior people management experience
