Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Facilitate the daily workforce performance. Coordinate production activities with supporting groups to ensure production objectives. Ensure customers satisfaction by providing on-time delivery and quality ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Guide staff personnel on daily area status. Promote Standardize work methods and ways to improve them. Promote and implement training to staff and BPs to improve their performance. Implement continuous improvement culture. Conduct/promote daily T1 and T2 meetings with employees to review objectives and activities of the area. Provide resources for training new associates. Support supervisors in determining personnel needs. Initiate and coordinate capital projects for their proposal, approval & implementation. Manages and control Budget to assure the procurement of the required products & services for the proper operation. Initiate and coordinate assistance as required from supporting departments. Support daily production schedules with materials planning. Monitor machinery, equipment and facility for maintenance as required, to ensure efficiency and safe working conditions. Promote continuous improvement and standardization across the plant and organization. Provide the best manufacturing solutions for production process by benchmarking within and outside the company for proper selection of machinery, equipment, and technology available. Implement, promote, and maintain a safe work environment by a culture of accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and rules application. Identify, control, and manage the risk and hazards into your own area. Promote the vision of the company by an active support of the aspirational goals, principles, and ethics of Eaton as well as quality policies. Motivate and coach employees and area staff to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effective process of rewards and recognition achieving desired behaviors and results. #LI-MM3 Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Engineering degree or related fields required. 3 – 5 years´ experience in manufacturing processes (environment preferably automotive). Basic knowledge of national and local safety and environmental standards, guidelines, and policies such as ISO 14001, MESH and/or applicable regional initiatives. English – language capability, speaking, reading & writing required. Broad technical knowledge in the areas of manufacturing processes, quality assurance, plant engineering, production/materials planning, maintenance needs and systems application. Knowledge of behavioral science, including the ability to motivate, counsel, and constructively deal with people at all levels. Strong leadership skills. Must be capable of leading their organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position requires some travel. It requires the use management skills, act as a liaison for associates at all levels. Develop and implement positive employee relations (Eaton Philosophy) to encourage employee involvement and to create an environment in which employees see no need for third party intervention.
