This is a role where you’ll partner with the creative studio team, creative leads and across multiple departments, reporting to the Associate Creative Director. As an individual contributor you will be expected to be a team player. We are looking for someone who is passionate about design, highly proactive, helps drive the big ideas, and is enthusiastic about developing new skills and learning new technologies. You are a go-getter who jumps on new opportunities, nerds out about your work in this cross section where beauty meets pharmaceuticals, and is efficient from concept to execution. This is a fast-paced work environment, so attention to detail, timely responsiveness and the ability to handle multiple projects with ease are an absolute must. Responsibilities Resosnbile for the overall development, execution and consistency of assigned creative requests for our brands, from brief to completion Produce high-quality visual designs for digital channels across branding, campaigns, microsites, landing pages, social media, presentations, video, animations, and more Work effectively and collaboratively in a cross-functional team working with colleagues and vendors, including illustrators, photographers, copywriters, video editors, project managers and marketing teams to ensure highest quality assets are produced Be comfortable getting direction from, and presenting ideas and designs across teams Work with agency partners to help guide brand creative, enforcing brand guidelines to ensure consistency Maintain consistent and high creative quality Create strong directives by implementing market research, presenting creative concept development, and strategic direction Collaborate and communicate with team members in a productive manner to ensure goals are being met and to attain/maintain creative vision outlined for the agency Participate in brainstorming team meetings and medical legal clearance meetings Participate in strategic and tactical meetings with client and account management to develop effective advertising campaigns reflecting the clients objectives Review all materials for consistency in layout guidelines and all branding elements Be a standard bearer for our team culture and values Maintain proper layout, color, photography and conceptual execution throughout all phases of campaigns and projects Skillfully produce work across all channels Places emphasis on quality control and adherence to deadlines Provide support and supervision to art personnel on account(s) Supervises on set to ensure shot lists and creative look and feel are achieved on photo and video shoots Qualifications A solid online portfolio of digital and brand marketing creative work – editorial work is a plus Strategic thinking – following concept through from initial research to creative thought starters, to creative territories and execution 5+ years of experience in an advertising / marketing agency setting Thorough understanding and competency with digital design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) for diverse formats (email, web, video, etc.) Solid understanding of typography and design layout Strong pitch and presenation deck design skills Good understanding of UX/UI principles and their applications across the web, apps, email and beyond Experience designing social media, posts ads and banners are a must Motion design and illustaration experience is a plus Rigorous attention to detail Manage multiple projects simultaneously Exhibits decisive problem solving ability and relationship management Strong verbal and presenation skills necessary Ability to work through multiple iterations and to work quickly Ability to work independently, but also an excellent collaborator with the entire team Ability to work within brand style guides to produce work that is both original and on brand Impeccable communication skills Ability to take criqties on creative ideas and adjust to fit the needs of projects On set art direction experience Significant Work Activities Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day) Travel Yes, 15 % of the Time Job Type Experienced Schedule Full-time Job Level Code IC About AbbVie AbbVie’s mission is to discover and deliver innovative medicines that solve serious health issues today and address the medical challenges of tomorrow.
