Art Teacher – Middle & High School
Public & International Programs | Chaoyang District, Beijing | Start ASAP
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate, qualified Art educator to join our thriving middle- and high-school teams in Chaoyang District. You will teach creative, skills-based Art courses to motivated students aged 15–18 in modern, well-resourced public and international-stream classrooms.
Key Details
• Location: Chaoyang District, Beijing (close to subway, vibrant expat community)
• Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
• Work Pattern: Monday–Friday, weekends off
• Teaching Load: 20–25 × 40–45-minute periods per week
• Class Size: 20–30 students
• Student Age: 15–18 (Grades 9–12)
Your Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned Art lessons (drawing, painting, mixed media, digital art, portfolio prep)
• Foster creativity, critical thinking and cultural appreciation
• Guide students in preparing for IGCSE, A-level, AP or IB Visual Arts exams and university portfolios
• Collaborate with Chinese and international colleagues on cross-curricular projects and exhibitions
• Maintain assessment records, provide feedback and support student wellbeing
Compensation & Benefits
Annual Salary: RMB 300,000 – 420,000 (pre-tax) based on qualifications & experience, paid over 12 months
• Housing Allowance: Up to RMB 8,000/month

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Fine Arts, Art Education or related field
• Teaching license / QTS / PGCE or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ full-time middle- or high-school Art teaching experience
• Experience with GCSE, A-level, AP or IB Visual Arts advantageous
• Native-level English; Mandarin not required
• Portfolio demonstrating personal artistic practice and student work
