Job Description

The opportunity 

To act as account manager for all Talent related matters (HR, Rewards, recruitment, Partner matters, LEAD, D&I, mobility and Talent Development) for the APAC FSO Advisory business.  As part of the Talent team supporting the Financial Services region, this role partners with the service line and geographies to ensure the best people solutions to meet the strategic needs of the business within the Financial Services region. 

 

Preferred location: Hong Kong, Singapore or Sydney

Your key responsibilities 

Area SL planning and support 

  • Work with Area Advisory Talent Leader and FSO Talent Leader to determine Advisory Talent  priorities and a plan to execute on priorities
  • Monitor and report on the workforce plan to ensure optimal leverage and aligned direct cost to plan
  • Proactively monitor FSO Advisory performance (retention, turnover, headcount against plan, hiring, engagement and D&I), escalating Talent issues, providing the business with insights and providing Talent advice to help drive business performance
  • Provide insight and recommendations to the Area FSO Talent Leader on Talent issues
  • Consult with the FSO Advisory business on business planning, including FTE, Partner pipelining, promotion and hiring
  • Manage the coordination and sign offs of staff’s annual macro process ie performance management, promotions, talent mapping and salary reviews
  • Work closely with regional/country Talent Leaders in driving FSO SL Talent priorities and projects forward
  • Support local HRBPs and Talent Leaders in coordinating any people related projects such as restructuring or reshaping, remuneration analysis, staff engagement and retention  

 

Implementation and delivery

  • Facilitate and monitor the execution of agreed Area and Regional Advisory Talent priorities in the service line.
  • Manage the FSO Advisory element of Talent projects and processes, such as New Horizons, NextGen, engagement surveys, LEAD, salary reviews and budgeting
  • Provide relevant HR data and updates on projects to the regional FSO Talent leaders
  • Collaborate with Centres of Excellence (e.g. D&I, total rewards and recruitment) to create Talent solutions for FSO Advisory
  • Coordination of Partner and ED promotion process
  • Facilitation of the Partner performance reviews, talent mapping and goals setting
  • Support the Area FSO Talent Leader in evaluating and responding to requests from Area and Regional leadership for support and initiatives on the Talent implications of the wider business strategy
  • Prepare reports and presentations as requested by the Area FSO Talent Leader
  • Work closely with the Executive Recruitment team and Partner Matters on Partner hiring, on-boarding, mobility and retirement  

 

Relationship Management

  • Coordinate communication with the APAC FSO Talent team (e.g. regular meetings/updates, agenda management, minutes, knowledge / document sharing)
  • Build and maintain influential relationships with executive and regional FSO and Advisory Talent teams
  • Respond to complex and urgent Talent queries pertaining to key stakeholder groups
  • Support local FSO Advisory HRBPs in all APAC countries on the execution of Talent initiatives and annual processes
  • Work closely with FSO and FSO Advisory Operations and Finance teams to align talent priorities and drive optimal business performance
  • Partnering with the SL Experience Management team to support them with business important initiatives  

 

The position holder will perform other responsibilities and tasks, e.g. project/initiative management, as required to achieve the agreed performance outcomes.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Ability to set and execute a defined agenda of Talent priorities that align with region talent priorities and address local strategic imperatives
  • Demonstrated success against Talent agenda for APAC FSO and Area Advisory
  • Working with a range of senior stakeholders with differing agendas, priorities and frames of reference
  • Prioritizing strategic imperatives
  • Effective virtual teaming across APAC and other geographies
  • Working with various cultures and maturities across Talent processes
  • Adaptation of global solutions to local environment and cultures
  • Achieving consistency between regions and SSLs in Advisory

 

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Graduate qualification
  • Performance Management
  • Change Management / Organisational Development (OD)
  • HR expertise
  • APAC region and culture (highly desirable)
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience as an HR, OD or Learning professional, including:

ü  Strong understanding of strategic HR and / or OD

ü  Change and stakeholder Management

ü  HR reporting & analytics

ü  Financial modelling/forecasting/cost benefit/ROI analysis as applicable to Human Resource Management

ü  Project Management

ü  Ability to work in a matrix structure

ü  Experience in mobility and recruiting would be an advantage

ü  Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with leadership and peers

ü  Ability to understand and integrate cultural differences and motives and to lead cross-cultural teams

ü  Strong English language skills

ü  Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
