Eaton’s Electrical Power Systems Division is currently seeking Tanker Assemblers – 1st Shift to join our team! The hourly rate starts at $20.80 an hour, depending on experience. The core hours are 5 am- 1 pm. This is a great opportunity for someone with a mechanical background who is looking for their next role! Assemble bushings and current transformers to cover or tank as specified. Mount core and coil in tank and bolts in place, clamp cover in place and makes all electrical connections to bushings, and mount tap changer, switches, current transformers, and vacuum fault interrupters. Locate and assemble all accessories, such as oil level gauges, thermometer, pressure-vacuum gauge, pressure relief device, etc. to the tank as specified. Check all lead clearances inside unit and assemble needed spacers and or insulating barriers as required. Perform resistance testing on small pad-mounted transformers. VFI, Load break switches. Read and work off of blueprints and schematics. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Previous electrical experience. Experience working as a mechanic Position Criteria: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
