Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Reading and understanding product and packaging specifications and the production schedule
  • Load raw material into wash equipment and operate washer on Manual Line
  • Load raw material into ovens, operate ovens and control panels on Manual Line
  • Assemble closures and ensure containers are capped to meet quality and productivity standards
  • Inspect finished product before packing to ensure acceptability
  • Assemble boxes, pack ware into boxes, label product and boxes
  • Operate required manufacturing equipment which could include; bar coder, conveyors, carton taper, shrink machine, cardboard baler and scales
  • Provide back-up support to other Assemblers
  • Train new Assemblers as needed
  • Record the necessary production data
  • Keep work areas clean and neat
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions

  • Must be able to communicate information with others
  • Must have good mathematical skills
  • Basic problem solving skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Proficient with assembly equipment/processes used in department
  • Follow written procedures (SOP's)
  • Must be able to write clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work independently with occasional assistance
  • Ability to take ownership for general processes/products
  • Must have basic understanding of Production Schedules
