Eaton’s Electrical Power Reliability Division is currently seeking a Tanker Custom Assembler – 2nd Shift to join our team! The hourly rate starts at $20.00/hour plus $1.25/hr shift premium, based on experience. This position is based at our South Milwaukee, WI facility and the core hours are 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm, M-F. This position is offering a sign-on bonus of $2,000*, less applicable withholding. *Bonus terms: Bonuses are being offered for a limited time only. Applications must be submitted on or after January 24th, 2023 to qualify. Bonuses are only applicable to specific job types and shifts; additional terms and conditions may apply. Associates must be employed at the time of the payout. Bonuses will be payable in two installments: $1,000, less applicable withholding will be paid after three (3) months of employment and the remaining $1,000, less applicable withholding will be paid after nine (9) months of employment Why work at Eaton? The assembler will perform a variety of diversified sub and final assembly operations on our overhead switchgear product line which contain a large number of parts and substantial fitting and aligning of components. In this function you will: Set up, build, test & palletize overhead Switchgear Units Screen defective parts or make adjustments as necessary. Perform soldering or brazing as required. Use and operate tools and equipment consistent with this job. Potentially be assigned to perform circuit testing or Hi-Pot testing. Adhere to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing experience. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the South Milwaukee, WI location. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in complex electrical and mechanical assembly. Position Criteria: Ability to work overtime as required.
