Description - External Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently recruiting an Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our team. This position is based the Dartmouth, Nova Scotia a facility and will be working on day shift. Position Overview: Reporting to the Satellite Manager, this position is responsible to have a thorough knowledge of all standard SwitchBoard, Panelboard, Control Product and some custom product assemblies and all related materials required to complete the assembly. This role is located at one of our Eaton Satellite locations (6 in total), which are located across Canada and comprise of smaller assemble-to-order facilities and complement our medium to large manufacturing facilities within Canada. In this function you will: Work to standard operating procedures, bill of materials, manufacturing information, and instruction from Management or Engineering to established procedures Responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly by conducting Inspection for conformance to drawings and specifications, functional operation and appearance and making mechanical adjustments as needed Perform pack and ship duties Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S Assist team in achieving plant and department goals Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications Grade 12 diploma, GED or equivalent from an accredited institution is required. No relocation provided. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
