Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking an Assembler I to join our first shift team. This position is based at our Cleveland, TN facility. In this function you will: Assemble components of safety switches, enclosed circuit breakers and engineered to order / Flex Center products using hand tools, gauges and air tools Perform quality checks consistent with the Inspection and control plans and check inventory/replenish parts to assembly stations Use Kanban system to assure availability of parts Read orders and drawings to determine assembly procedures such as component types and configuration, mounting locations and clearances required Assemble and fit parts and components to form sub-assemblies, or completed assemblies Stage necessary component parts / material in a manner which allows for the smooth flow of order activities through the assembly / manufacturing process Work with various groups of employees in team based environment Cross -train in various areas of the Assembly Department Be responsible to comply with all applicable ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 procedures. Possess a working knowledge of relevant ISO procedures and work instructions Be responsible to bring health and safety issues, unsafe acts and safety suggestions to management’s attention or correct those where possible When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Must not have any active Corrective Actions within last 6 months Must have Performance Rating of P3 or higher Preferred Qualifications: Previous manufacturing and/or assembly experience Must have been in current position for at least 6 months As a contractor with the Federal government, Eaton is subject to the Executive Order mandating COVID-19 vaccination.
