Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking an Assembler II to join our 1st Shift team. This position is based at our Reno, NV location. This is a direct, full-time position that offers full benefits the day you start. In addition to Eaton’s competitive benefits, this position offers a salary of $19.65 / hour. Shift Hours: 6am-2:30pm Position Overview: The Assembler II is primarily focused on assembly for our welding department and assisting the welding team as needed. The Assembler II will help with large part construction through assembly and will handle up to 50-pound parts and materials regularly. This role has the potential to advance within our welding department to various positions. In this function you will: Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components Use bolts, screws, hand tools, clips and other fastening devices Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams Handle 50-pound parts to assist with large part construction Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to: Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas. Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor. Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility. Qualifications Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship No relocation is available for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Position Criteria: Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format in English. Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift. Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion. Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise Handle materials that pertain to large part construction, weighing 50 pounds multiple times per day Physical Demands: Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift. Able to regularly lift 50 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift more than 50 lbs. with assistance. Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas). Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity. Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents. Why work at Eaton?
