Eaton’s CPDI Division is currently seeking an Assembler II (Assembly Test Technician) role join our RPO team in Raleigh, North Carolina. Pay: $17/hour Benefits (Medical, Dental, & Vision) 401K (6% Match in Total) Vacation (Two Weeks Starting Out) The Electrical Test Assembler II will build sub-assemblies and assemblies involving complex and repetitive wiring for Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS). In this role: Performs Lockout & Tag-out to install and tea-out equipment and units supporting test schedules Pre-Units for test by installing input, output, and battery cables Move, Install, and tear-out UPS Electrical Units Material Handling utilizing forklifts, electric pallet jacks, etc. Installs and tear-out switch hear using one-line diagrams Perform heavy work including cable installing and removal (max of 50-lbs) Assist in test maintenance as require Perform assembly, complex and repetitive wiring, and/or UPS operation to complete final assembly of product. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: A minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing or electrical field. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, SOPs and engineering drawings. High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50 mile radius) will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Position Criteria: Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility. Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude (ability to read wiring diagrams and other technical drawings) Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge and understanding of basic electricity Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures. Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to distinguish colored wiring Preferred Qualifications: Two years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly. One year of previous work experience in an environment requiring physical endurance and coordination preferred. SAP knowledge and proficiency preferred. Associates degree in electronics, manufacturing, or a related field from an accredited educational institution. Experience with point-to-point wiring test using meters. Soldering certification or at least six months of soldering experience preferred. High level of mechanical and electrical aptitude preferred.
