This position is based at our Cleveland, TN facility. Job Summary The Assembly Weld works within the Fabrication unit and is responsible for assembling case parts and products using machinery and hand tools. Job Responsibilities Perform job duties in a manner that follows Eaton Quality standards and systems Assemble products using various types of equipment Use hand tools, small power tools, or other special equipment to assemble products Interpret orders and drawings to determine procedures and conduct work according to drawing specifications Conduct inspection of parts and quality checks using a variety of measuring tools. Perform rework operations as required. Replenish inventory of fabrication department Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas using Eaton’s 5S procedures Train new-hire assembly welds on operating lines Cross train in various areas of the Fabrication department Perform other duties, as assigned by supervisor Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Must have a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Cleveland, TN area (50 miles) will be considered for this position Must have worked at least 6 months in their current role; Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing setting Preferred Qualifications: Previous Assembly experience in a manufacturing setting Been in current position for at least 6 months Position Criteria: Must not be on a written or a final written warning Employees can apply and be awarded a new role but must have a minimum of 6 months service time in their current role before moving to the new role Eaton considers qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with local laws.
