Eaton’s vehicle group is seeking a Assembly Technician II to join our team on 1st shift. This position is based at our Tualatin, OR facility. This is a direct, full-time position that offers full benefits the day you start. In addition to Eaton’s competitive benefits, Eaton offers a salary of $22.00/hour. Position Overview: The Assembly Technician II will be responsible for providing assembly support within Tualatin OR location. Including but not limited to the final assembly, inspection and testing of various product lines, PCB sub-assemblies, soldering (THM) using specialized hand and air tools, specific work instructions. In this function you will: Be able to work independently to standard operating procedures / work instructions, bill of materials, product specific information, and instruction from Management or Engineering to complete assembly or sub-assemblies. Be responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly. Use various fixtures, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product Be responsible for mechanical/electrical performance of completed assemblies and assist in making necessary adjustments to meet performance/quality goals. Evaluates assembly problems, recommends corrective actions Reports irregularities or equipment malfunctions Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S and continuous improvement. Qualifications Basic Qualifications HS diploma or GED from an accredited institution At least 1 year manufacturing experience required Must be authorized to work in the US without Company sponsorship Must reside within 50 miles of Tualatin OR to be considered. No relocation Benefits provided. Preferred Qualifications Computer literate: Microsoft Office, Outlook/Email. Previous electronics manufacturing/assembly experience a plus IPC Certified or the ability to acquire IPC certification Position Criteria: Must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs with reasonable accommodation. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
