Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking an Assembly Value Stream Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Cleveland, Tennessee. Position Overview: The Assembly Value Stream Manager will develop a strategic plan and lead key manufacturing processes to ensure production objectives are met according to the plant High Five performance metrics. The Assembly Value Stream Manager supports the operation’s strategic plan by producing safety switches that meet customer order/delivery requirements and product quality standards in the most efficient manner. The Assembly Value Stream Manager engages all employees in a continuous improvement culture and sponsors/facilitates continuous improvement activities and learning. In this function you will: Develop a strategic plan for the entire Assembly value stream and set clear execution plans and expectations. Manage and coordinate product and customer orders to continuously maintain on time delivery of parts, products, and service to meet customer demand. Maintain a high level of quality in assigned areas of functional responsibility. Monitor and verify both quality and quantity of product and work output. Develop and coordinate programs and activities to assess and improve manufacturing processes and product quality. Promote continuous improvement throughout the organizations to improve safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and total cost. Drive value stream approach throughout the assembly operation. Utilize analytical skills for problem solving and decision making. Utilize appropriate lean tools (ELSS and CIF) and champion general continuous improvement initiatives to improve overall business performance as measured by productivity, on-time performance, and quality trends. Provide leadership and support for the appropriate deployment of the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) through the organization. Coordinate assembly projects and production programs in support of divisional and plant objectives. Direct expense and capital budgets and administer necessary controls to insure effective attainment. Plan, select, appraise, and develop personnel in support of the plant objectives and in line with corporate processes and expectations. Clearly communicate the progress of major plant activities to the Plant Manager and Staff. Maintain a safe work environment by providing a facility, manufacturing methods, tools and equipment that comply to state and federal regulations and Eaton’s MESH requirements. Maintain a high morale level within all departments. Maintain a work environment free of organizing and/or union activity. Direct an effective continuous flow manufacturing program to provide quicker response times, reduced inventories and on time deliveries. Provide leadership and direction in the development, maintenance, and improvement of processes to meet the needs of all stakeholders. The processes should support and align with criteria defined by standards organizations including ISO 9000, ISO 14000, MESH, Eaton Quality Management System Eaton Business Excellence. When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. *MSJA #LI-ED2 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred qualifications: Masters Degree from an accredited instituion Prior experience in managment Lean Certification (Green or Black Belt) Lean, OpA or MESH subject matter expert/category champion Assembly Automation Experience Production Scheduling Experience We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
