The position is open in Shanghai office.

Responsibility

• The Asset Engineer – Renewable (AER) is responsible to provide technical and operational support to the management of company’s renewable portfolio, including centralized and decentralized solar assets fully owned by the company or in partnership (rotation of around 500 MW/year), O&M services company, solar platform positions and potential future participations in micro-grid, hydrogen and wind projects.

• The AER shall monitor and seek at improving asset portfolio performance and contribute to the development of related business opportunities.

• Assess plant’s performance and propose solutions for improvement

• Update and monitor solar portfolio dashboard with relevant KPIs

• Monitor the work of the assets O&M companies

• Report asset performance and activities to the Portfolio Director Renewable

• Lead the field test of innovative initiatives including IT solutions, O&M best practices…

• Contribute to the asset management responsibilities from commercial side (e.g. dealing with local authorities, spare parts issues, legacy issues with EPCs, compliance issues, ...)

• Contribute to potential new related business opportunities, including preparation of technic-commercial proposal.

Requirement

• Relevant bachelor degree in engineering

• At least 3 years engineering / asset management role, in Solar or Wind Power industry. (Solar will be a plus)

• Knowledge of power business, regulations and regional economic development.

• Basic level of understanding of the principles of effective project management, including HSE, contract and risk management

• Ability to communicate with partners and local authorities

• Ability and experience to work in a large multidiscipline and multicultural team in an international environment

• Hands on, and innovative mindset

• Fluent in Chinese and English
