The AstraZeneca Newark Supply Site in Newark, DE, was established in 1971 and currently employs approximately 260 people. Over the course of these years, Newark has undergone many product portfolio changes since it first began as Stuart Pharmaceuticals through today as the designated AZ North America Packaging Center of Excellence and a Flexible Formulation site for global supply of complex products. The Supply Planning Process Execution Team (SP PET) is accountable for developing and maintaining the 0 – 36 month supply plan for the site assets as part of the global end-to-end supply chain. This requires close collaboration with global planning and site process execution teams to ensure site capabilities are accurately understood, supply plans are well developed, executed, and future targets are meaningful and achievable.

What you will do:

As an Asset Planner (Packaging), you will build and maintain a feasible and optimal supply plan over a 3 -24 horizon for assigned assets.

The key processes locally owned/executed by this role include Renewal, Events Management, and Asset Allocation. The role provides analytical support to the SP PET and for handling inventory and SOX processes to ensure appropriate financial reporting and controls.

  • Planning Design

  • Monthly planning renewal (pre-S&OP)

  • PS&OP

  • Inventory Management and Forecasting

  • Phased Budget / ABU / RBU / Business Plan submission

  • Supply chain analytics as required in support of overall SP PET accountabilities.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Required:

  • Minimum of four (4) years in Supply Chain Environment (Manufacturing, Planning)

  • Advanced supply chain (capacity and inventory) planning skills

  • SAP APO and ECC expertise.

  • Adept at working cross-functionally in a collaborative manner, and influencing stakeholders within a globalized supply chain

  • Drives accountability in others based on their roles and functional alignment

  • A customer-focused approach, with strong interpersonal and communications skills

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Eng. or related field

  • APICS certification

  • Proven understanding of Pharmaceutical production supply chain principles, GMP, FDA, TDMS, and Microsoft applications

  • Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment

  • Project management experience

  • Process Ownership expertise

  • Experience in participating in the S&OP process

  • Commercial experience is a plus
