Position Summary:
Bentley Systems seeks a talented individual to serve as a Consultant for our AssetWise Transportation solutions. Bentley User Success Services provides professional services to users of Bentley’s Asset Management software suite used by owners and managers of roadway assets and other infrastructure assets. The Consultant will collect requirements, implement, and test solutions, create documentation, deliver training and be involved in promoting solutions to new users. This role will be based remotely in U.S. as part of a larger team spread around the world and reports to the Director for User Success Services, Transportation.
Location: This role is remote, based from a home office in the US.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Participating in the solution definition of user projects by translating requirements and processes into functional design.
- Implementation of the configured solution based on the approved technical design
- Draft, update and maintain functional and business requirements documents
- Assist in the creation of project proposals for both fixed fee and time and material projects.
- Create and execute test plans based on user requirements
- Proactively communicating and collaborating with external and internal users and stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver requirements documents as needed.
- Serving as the conduit between the user community (internal and external users) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
- Identifying and validating business objectives and generating/proposing solutions that align with Bentley’s business strategy and standards.
- Successfully engaging in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
What You Bring To The Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in technical business analysis, software life cycle development or software implementation.
- Strong analytical and customer relationship skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret user business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Experience in road asset management and linear referencing preferred
- Knowledge of geographic information systems and spatial data helpful
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Ability to work under the pressures of deadlines.
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and balance the time and effort between those projects.
- Flexibility to cope with change due to external events
- Ability to work unsupervised under minimal supervision, with wide latitude for independent action.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
Desired Qualifications:
- AssetWise for Roads and Bridges or similar (ESRI Roads and Highways; dTIMS; AgileAssets; AASSHTOWare)
- Experience of overweight vehicle permitting
- Technical experience such as database building or programming
- Experience working for Application Service Provider (ASP) or Software as a service (SaaS) company
- Business Analysis certification (e.g. CBAP, CCBA, etc.)
- Knowledge of any of the following: Oracle PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft .NET Framework, ASP.NET, Power BI
