Job Description
Overall Responsibilities
- Lead Accounting team to provide quality accounting services and execute month end closing activities effectively and efficiently.
- Oversee accounting, tax and treasury operations.
Detail Responsibilities
People Management
- Enhance financial operation fundamentals throughout the accounting policies, process & education.
- Set objectives/targets with team members and monitor progress.
- Coach/motivate staff to achieve results and KPIs.
- Backup other team members when needed.
Month end closing
- Prepare month end closing schedule and monitor month-end close process and activities to meet the tight deadline with high quality.
- Review all month-end accruals, including but not limited to channel expenses, marketing expenses, G&A expenses, etc.
- Review monthly journal entries recorded by team.
- Review monthly special purpose ledger adjustment performed by team, in particular, to reconcile adjustments between different GAAPs.
- Perform pre-review for TB accounts to ensure the high quality accounting information.
- Provide periodic reports and information required by shareholders of JV (US shareholder and Mainland China shareholder).
Daily transactions
- Review all payment applications and release 1st level approval in E-bank.
- Maintain cash flow forecast to ensure robust cash status for 3 legal entities.
- Work with cross functions to ensure accounting policies and procedures are in place.
- Maintain adequate internal controllership to ensure the compliance of O2C, P2P and R2R cycles.
- Identify process optimization opportunities and drive continuously efficiency improvement.
- Compliance on all tax related matters to ensure Corporate Income Tax, Value-Added Tax, stamp duty and other types of taxes in compliance with Tax laws and policies.
- Review Non-sales contract and provide comments on financial terms.
Others
- Document process manual and work instruction manual.
- Collaborate and assist with all internal and external audits.
- Undertake special projects as required, like facilitating the company ERP and OA process design and implementation etc.
- Ad-hoc works.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor degree or above with major in accounting/finance.
- Professional qualification in finance will be highly preferred (e.g. CPA, CIMA, ACCA).
Experience & Knowledge
- Minimal 8 years in accounting function, including at least 3 years experiences as team leader.
- Big 4 experience will be highly preferred.
- SAP application knowledge and experience is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Be willing to work under high pressure.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good written and oral English.
