Assistant Administrative Officer – Registry

The appointee will be required to (a) support a wide range of academic services such as student admission and registration, course registration, timetabling, assessments and examinations, and scholarships; (b) maintain student records and prepare reports on programmes and student enrolments; (c) work closely with other academic and administration teams in the Institute and liaise with government organizations; (d) handle enquiries; (e) provide secretarial support to academic committees; and (f) perform any duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Applicants should have (i) a bachelor’s degree; (ii) at least 2 years’ working experience preferably with relevant experience in tertiary education sector; (iii) a good command of written English and Chinese; and (iv) a high level of competence in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Chinese word processing. The appointees should have organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills and should be self-initiated, well-organized and a good team player. Preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with the local self-financed tertiary education sector, with experience in registry services and/or committee service. Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
Commencing salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity. Appointment will be made on fixed-term contract, which will be renewable subject to mutual agreement.
