Assistant Bars Manager

What you will be doing:

  • To assist the Bars Manager in developing and implementing new beverage strategies for the department
  • To create unique concepts for upcoming menu’s
  • To train and mentor bartenders in the art of Cocktail making and bartending skills
  • To assist the Bars Manager in building new relationships with brands
  • To collaborate with brands to create pop-up menu’s
  • Responsible for training and developing the team through innovative and creative training sessions
  • To drive innovation in our beverage offerings through dynamic cocktail lists and beverage lists
  • To be completely accountable for the quality and standards of Beverage offerings in Kittocks and Zephyr and subsequently across the resort
  • To be fully aware of the LQA 5* bar standards
  • To ensure a safe, secure and hygienic environment for customers and staff
  • Opportunities to be taken to promote products to our customers relating to our hotel and the Fairmont brand.
  • Customer satisfaction to be checked at every opportunity
  • To ensure that staff comply with all aspects of food hygiene and liquor licensing laws
  • Prompt response to be given to the service needs expressed by customer, regardless of their relevance to the Beverage Operation

 

Your experience and skills include:

  • 1-2 years supervisor level experience in a Bar/Lounge environment
  • Strong creative desire and passion for beverage and food
  • Service focused personality is essential
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities and the ability to lead by example

 

Your team and working environment:

  • Working in a fast paced team environment
  • Shifts will be during the day, evening and weekend

Must be eligible to work in the UK. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining UK work authorisation.
