The Team @ Mercure

Mercure Sydney is a part of the Accor Hotel group. We are a big hotel with 517 room, 9 conference rooms and 2 food & beverage outlets. This role will answer directly to our Hub chief engineer and get exposure to the running of our sister property Ibis Barangaroo.

 The Day to Day

This role is not just about compliance it’s about creating and building experiences for our guests

• Assist with management of the Maintenance and Engineering function.
• Assist with the protection and maintenance of owner investment.
• Assist and ensure the safety and comfort of guests during their stay.
• Allow staff to effectively and safely carry out their roles of caring for our guests.
• assist with designing and implementing solutions to improve energy management and conservation
• Ensuring the hotel upholds WHS and fire safety responsibilities.

The right person

• We are looking for a maintenance professional with prior hotel experience
• You must have great organizational skills and be a clear communicator
• Someone not afraid to get their hand dirty one day then dive into a spreadsheet the next
• You need to be creative, yet practical and have the ability to turn a concept into reality
• Someone who is a creative problem solver.
