FACULTY OF ARTS
The Faculty of Arts is seeking a self-motivated and responsible individual to fill a full-time position of Assistant Communication Officer.
The appointee will provide administrative support to the Faculty of Arts as well as the Chinese Writers’ Workshop, a new programme in support of Chinese-language creative writing, and the International Writers’ Workshop, a long-standing residency programme for international writers. He/She will handle and manage all relevant social/digital media and communication of the Faculty; coordinate public events and outreach activities; assist in running the events of the Chinese Writers’ Workshop and International Writers’ Workshop; and perform other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or above with at least two years of work experience in one of the following areas: public relations, corporate communication or educational administration. An excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is essential. They should also have strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in writing press releases, liaising with media contacts, using social media platforms, grant writing, and/or designing posters is a plus.
Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
