Assistant Conference & Banqueting Manager
To assist the Conference & Banqueting Manager with the set up of all conferences and banquets for Fairmont St. Andrews and all the equipment necessary to deliver conferences, banqueting and food and beverage services.

What you will be doing:

  • To ensure that all conferences are set up to the agreed standard in a timely manner as requested
  • To ensure that all vacated rooms are set up for the next event immediately it is vacated, ready for inspection by a prospective client
  • To provide and maintain liaison with the Client, Event Planning personnel, Technical Services Manager and the C&B team, to ensure the clients needs are met and exceeded
  • To ensure the stock of china, glass and other inventory is on site and ready for use in a timely manner and is sufficient to meet the demands of the business
  • To ensure that all equipment is clean, ready for use and stored correctly
  • To ensure that the catered event is serviced in the appropriate manner, liaising with the Kitchen to make sure the guests expectations are exceeded
  • To be responsible for the budget spend for your payroll, cleaning and catering supplies and working replacements
  • To take a monthly stock take of all china, glass and other operating equipment and raise the necessary purchase orders for approval by the F&B Manager

Your experience and skills include:

  • Service focused personality is essential and a passion for everything food and beverage
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities and the ability to lead by example


Your team and working environment:

  • Working a fast paced team environment
  • Shifts will be during the day, evening and weekend
  • Must be eligible to live and work in the UK
