Assistant Director, Housekeeping

What you will be doing:
- Support the successful performance of all aspects of the Housekeeping Department, including Laundry and Uniforms.
- Support leading and managing all aspects of the Housekeeping departments and ensure all service standards (Forbes, 5 Star) are followed with friendly and engaging service
- Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
- Champion preventative maintenance programme in partnership with the Engineering department.
- Champion Housekeeping Quality Assurance programmes.
- Provide leadership support to Housekeeping colleagues to ensure high morale and productivity levels through staff planning, recruitment, training and ongoing communciation including performance review, coaching and career development discussions.
- Provide assistance in planning and implementing deep cleaning and job cycle projects for guestrooms and public areas.
Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Houskeeping Manager role
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related discipline is a strong asset
- Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience required
- Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
- Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
- Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills
- Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
