Assistant Director, Rooms

    What you will be doing:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Rooms departments and ensure all service standards are followed with friendly and engaging service
  • Assist with the leadership of the daily operations of Front Office, Concierge, Reservations, Guest Services, LeisureServices and Housekeeping departments ensuring all standards are followed and services are properly executed.
  • Assist with preparation of annual budgets and administer in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Assist with controlling all purchases for the deparment, consistently aware of quality and cost
  • Assist with overseeing group business, reviewing andensuring details of group resumes are met
  • Responsible for interviewing, training and development of all employees to ensure timely recruitment and career growth
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
  • Maximize rooms revenue through participating in yield management meetings and implementing supported and agreed upon Revenue Management strategies and practices increasing RevPAR in the competitive set
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  • Adhere to all safety policies while promotinga safe and healthy work environment
  • Monitor employee performance through positive feedback, performance management, annual performance reviews, recognition practices and consistent follow-up
  • Any other related duties 

    Your experience and skills include:
  • Service focused personality is essential and 4 years' previous leadership experience required
  • Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
  • Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
  • Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills
  • Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
