Assist in overseeing and supervising daily operations of the events team.

Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in planning and implementing overall business strategy.

Adhere to and encourage compliance with regulations and internal policies.

Monitors sales production on a daily basis.

Develop strong working relationships with clients. 

Understands budget process and event profitability.

Promote and sell hotel to be the most popular meeting/banquet venue.

Accountable for achieving target set for individual and team’s catering revenue.

Answers all incoming inquiries pertaining to events including weddings, corporate meetings and functions and social events, and conducts site inspections.

Qualifies each business opportunity based on budget, attendance and determines availability of space based on yield management principles.

Knows competitors’ strength and weaknesses as well as their pricing and packages in order to present unique selling points to prospective clients to gain an advantage over competitors.

Manages all details of the event including food and beverage, meeting specifications, audio-visual equipment, guestroom block, deposit follow up and VIP requests.




Work Experience

At least 5 years’ experience in a managerial role in events with a luxury hotel brand.

At least a Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.

Strong technical and negotiation skills.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Strong problem solving and analysing skills.

Good management skills.

Results driven, proactive and a team player.
