Job Responsibilities:

• To create explanations for primary mathematics materials, aiming for recording and animation purposes to facilitate students’ understanding of mathematical concepts;
• To edit manuscripts to ensure high quality of content and language with reference to syllabus, relevant documents and references;
• To translate between English and Chinese languages with high accuracy;
• To write manuscripts with logicality, cohesion, clarity and consistency;
• To prepare artwork briefs, photo briefs and page layout briefs;
• To carry out proofreading, checking artwork, photographs and printed blues;
• To communicate with designers and all relevant parties on the content and presentation of work;
• To perform ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above in Mathematics or equivalent;
• At least 2 years or above editorial experience, related experience in writing and adapting content will be an advantage;
• Knowledge of local primary Mathematics curriculum an advantage;
• Experience in teaching local primary Mathematics an advantage;
• Excellent command of spoken and written English/Chinese;
• Good organization skills and good team player;
• Candidates with less experience or qualification will be considered as Assistant Editor
• Immediately available is an advantage
