The Center for Education Innovation is hiring an Assistant Education Development Manager to support the development, delivery, and administration of all professional development initiatives in learning and teaching at higher education for research postgraduates. The main duties are to design, conduct, and coordinate the institutional-wide graduate teaching assistant (GTA) training program; provide instructional advice and other teaching and learning related aspects for GTA; liaise with Schools and Departments for the operation of the training program; and prepare and maintain a collection of resources to promote pedagogies that support the University’s teaching and learning initiatives.
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree or above in education or related areas with at least 3 years of relevant teaching/instructional experience, preferably in the delivery of training programs to teaching/instructional staff in higher education; a high level of proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua. Solid instructional background, up-to-date knowledge on modern pedagogies, delivery techniques and assessment skills in higher education will be an advantage. The appointee must be a dynamic learner with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and can concurrently manage multiple assignments. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test in English. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
