The Center for Education Innovation is hiring an Assistant Education Development Manager (Teaching and Learning) to develop programs for equipping teaching staff with the knowledge and skills to enhance undergraduates learning at the University. The primary duties are to deliver and coordinate the institutional-wide graduate teaching assistant (GTA) training program; provide instructional advice and other teaching and learning-related aspects to instructors and teaching staff; develop and maintain a collection of resources to promote pedagogies that support the University’s teaching and learning initiative; and liaise with Schools and Departments for the operation of all teaching and learning-related programs.

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree or above in education or a related area with at least 4 years of relevant teaching/instructional experience, preferably in the delivery of training programs to teaching/instructional staff in higher education. Candidates with a solid instructional background; up-to-date knowledge of active learning pedagogies such as flipped classroom, blended learning, experiential learning, and technology in teaching in higher education will have a definite advantage.  A high level of proficiency in spoken and written English is necessary.  The appointee must be passionate in teaching and learning, proactive and willing to take initiative at work, a dynamic and self-directed learner; and competent in concurrently managing multiple assignments. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test in English. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
