Job Description

Accountability Objective

  • Responsible for overall control and monitoring of tender submission, contract execution and management of large scale environmental engineering projects
  • Supervise the project team and monitor the performance of team members

Principal Accountabilities

1.Tender Submission and Contract Acceptance

  • To submit tenders taking into consideration of capability and availability of resources and current and future project requirements.
  • To assign job responsibilities to tender team members, and check all completed tender submission and associated works.
  • To negotiate prices with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive bids.
  • To conduct tender submission discussion with Director and Manager before approval and submission.
  • To follow relevant Quality Procedure and other company requirements, when applicable.

2.Contract Administration

  • To monitor overall technical, quality, contractual and financial matters of assigned projects.
  • To monitor the progress of project works from time to time.
  • To initiate and discuss problems with project team members.
  • To ensure all safety requirements are enforced on site.
  • To assess the performance of suppliers and subcontractors.
  • To negotiate payment terms, conditions and prices with suppliers and subcontractors subject to Director / Manager approval.
  • To ensure the works of subordinates are diligently and sufficiently performed to meet contract and company requirements.
  • To handle client complaints.
  • To attend project meetings with Client, Consultant, Main Contractor, Subcontractors and other ATAL SP sections when necessary.
  • To safeguard ATAL SP’s interests at all stages from receipt of Letter of Intent to final completion of job in respect of all financial, commercial, contractual and technical details.
  • To follow relevant Quality Procedure and other company requirements, when applicable.

3.General Duties

  • To report regularly to the Director / Manager on the status of tender submission and projects in hand with particular reference to any difficulty which may disrupt / delay / prevent the smooth progress of works; affect the profit margin of projects.
  • To project Company image in a positive and dynamic manner and take every opportunity available to increase the level of Company business and profitability.
  • To advise on the need of business including staff recruitment and office facilities.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as may be necessary from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Degree / Higher Diploma in Building Services / Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Environmental Engineering.
  • 6 years relevant working experience with 2 years supervisory and managerial level working experience.
  • Staff with lower academic qualifications but with more working experience may be considered as qualified for the post at the discretion of the Director / Manager.
  • Sensitive in market trend and strong analytical skill.
  • Dynamic, self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with result-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese and English
