  • Major responsibilities
  • Assist the team during pre-opening period in all upcoming tasks within Sales & Marketing but also beyond.
  • Support company’s philosophy and company culture through the use of Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.
  • To ensure that Mandarin Oriental, Macau’s grooming and appearance standards are implemented and maintained to reflect an image of professionalism and care.
  • To carry out annual appraisals and regular feedback on development on all colleagues using the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Performance and Development System PROFILE.
  • Assist in the establishment and enforcement of meeting and conference sales proposals and communication standards.
  • Conduct regular sales activities to business association, chamber of commerce, repeat and prospective clients.
  • Conduct site inspections for and entertain existing or prospective banquet business decision-makers and end users.
  • Coordinate closely with and provide detailed information to the banquet operations in order to enable the operations to “look after” the client effectively while the event is in-house.
  • Secure room and catering business from city-wide events.
  • Ensure Banquet Event Orders are accurate and provide detailed information to the Banquet operations and all departments concerned in order to enable the operations to “look after" the client effectively while the event is in-house.
  • Focus on forward selling and maximization of available space more than six months out I order to achieve high yield room business.
  • Develop a strong repeat business base and constantly source for new business.
  • Promptly share leads on corporate FIT and travel trade business with relevant members of the Corporate & Travel sales team.
  • Share leads and assist with the Sales Department.
  • Promptly pass leads on regional and / or international business to the respective RSOs.
  • Ensure all accounts and contacts profiles are properly maintained in the Fidelio Delphi Sales & Catering and sales activities reports and tracing system are implemented on a timely manner.
  • Attend and participate in sales and business development meetings.
  • Submit sales production and lost business reports.
  • Provide feedback on relevant trends, competitor pricing, creative concepts and any other information that will contribute toward the achievement of departmental financial and hotel objectives.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department head.
