Job Description
Reporting to Finance Manager, the appointee would be required to:

1.
Handle finance & accounting functions such as treasury, donation, payment, general ledger, payroll, budgeting, manpower planning, management reporting, revenue management and service costing.

2.
Perform post-approval checking on medical fee waiving/ Samaritan Fund and Community Care Fund cases.

3.
Assist in performing financial analysis and compilation of management reports.

4.
Support the interim / year-end account closing exercise and auditing matter.

5.
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of internal control procedures.

6.
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirement:

1.
Possession of professional accounting qualification of a recognized professional accounting body.

2.
Proficiency in computing / PC skills e.g. Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word.

3.
Good command of written and spoken English.

4.
Self-motivated, strong analytical ability and good interpersonal skills.

Preferred Attributes:

1.
University degree holder.

2.
Proactive with excellent communication skills.

3.
Ability to organize jobs and work with tight deadlines.

4.
Relevant experience of accounting/ auditing functions is preferred.

Remarks:
For Serving HA Staff

1.
The selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for up to 3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. Serving contract employee will be offered contract employment with an up to 15% total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity, subject to satisfactory completion of contract. Serving permanent employee will be offered fixed term appointment after which the employee may be reverted back to his/her former substantive rank.

2.
The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employee upon changes in appointment will be made in accordance with prevailing policies.

For External Applicants

3.
The selected candidates will be offered contract employment for up to 3 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity will be offered, subject to satisfactory completion of the contract.

4.
Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA.

For All Applicants

5.
Candidates with accounting qualification of a recognized professional body and minimum of 3 years of experience will start at HGPS point 13 (HK$29,615) per month including Monthly Allowance. For candidates who are fresh university graduates or those with one or two years of relevant experience and are undertaking professional accounting examinations, they may be appointed within the pay range of HGPS point 9 (HK$23,378) to HGPS point 12 (HK$27,935) per month including Monthly Allowance.

6.
Selected candidate will be posted in Queen Mary Hospital and may be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA.
