Job Description

We are now looking for personnel to join us for undertaking this multi-billion HK dollar transformation project leading the MPF ecosystem to a new era. If you are passionate to creating an impact to benefit the working population of Hong Kong and are keen and willing to work in a start-up style environment, we invite you to join the eMPF Platform Company. Successful candidates will be employed by the MPFA to work in the eMPF Platform Provisional Office (PO). Upon incorporation of the eMPF Platform Company, the employment will be transferred from the MPFA to the eMPF Platform Company.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Handle full set of accounts including preparation of month-end account closing, maintenance of general ledger, accounts payables and receivables and fixed assets registry;
  • Prepare subsidiary accounts and financial information with analysis for submission to the holding company;
  • Prepare monthly management reports and analysis to department heads, senior management and the Board of Directors;
  • Coordinate with the external auditors for the annual audit exercise and prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with external requirements and internal policies and procedures;
  • Research and analyse impact of changes in financial reporting standards and other statutory requirements on accounting policies;
  • Monitor the compliance of internal control procedures, procurement policies and procedures and financial management policies and procedures; and
  • Prepare tax computation, handle tax filing and draft response to IRD queries.

 

Requirements

  • Holder of a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university and qualified accountant with HKICPA, ACCA or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience of which 2 years at supervisory role;
  • Proven track record of audit and/or in-house financial control and reporting experience, preferably gained in audit firms and/or sizable or public organisations;
  • Well-versed with ERP and Microsoft Office;
  • Attentive to details with commercial sense;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Motivated, hands-on and able to work independently and under pressure;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  • Keen and willing to work in a start-up style environment with all the flexibility that requires and level of change involved.

 

Candidates with less experience and qualification will be considered for the position of Senior Accountant.
