Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

  What you will be doing:
• Assist with leading, mentoring and training the Food & Beverage Operations team
• Ensure Food & Beverage meet the required brand standards 
• Supervises, coordinates and directs the prompt, efficient and courteous serving of food and beverages in the restaurant
• Conduct interviews, departmental induction, coaching, counselling as necessary
• Conduct pre shift briefings and liaises with the Chef De Cuisine / Sous Chef to ensure efficient service
• Assists with ensuring that the hotel grooming standards are met
• Controls stock for daily use in restaurants and bars to ensure that service requirements at met
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards 
• Participates in the preparation and achievement of the departmental budget and targets 
• Conducts cleaning inspections on a regular basis to ensure compliance with food safety and hotel cleanliness standards
• Create unforgettable experiences for our guests

• Your experience, skills and qualifications include:
• Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience required
• Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
• Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills
• Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
• Strong leadership skills
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Understanding of accounting principles
• Previous experience working in a unionised environment
• Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management
•
