We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Head of Curriculum, Students Well-being &Government Related of Primary and Secondary at Nord Anglia School, Fangshan, Beijing.

You will need to offer leadership, inspiration and guidance to school on curriculum and students well-being and related matters. This will involve helping to plan an academic programme and well-being programme for students that engages and extends students. And this you also need to oversee academic intervention and support programmes for relevant students as well as be responsible for tracking, monitoring, recording, reporting the academic and well-being progress of students. To join in related meetings of government and Education Committee and take meeting minutes to report to Co-principals on time could be one of important responsibilities of this role.

The ideal candidate will be/have:

Qualifications/Training

§ Qualified Teacher status with a minimum of five to seven years teaching experience

Experience / Knowledge

§ Cross School curriculum and associated assessment methods

§ Up to date knowledge of curriculum developments

§ Understanding of effective teaching and learning theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children through classroom organization, differentiation and learning strategies

§ Previous leadership experience

§ Proven leadership and people management skills

§ International school experience

§ Proven curriculum management/development skills

§ Budget management experience

Skills

§ Proven ability to develop good personal relationships within a team

§ An effective communicator (written and verbal) to a variety of audiences

§ High level of IT competency

§ Familiarity with ISAMS information management systems

§ Proven ability to develop opportunities for parental involvement

§ Experience of Moodle or a similar programme

Key Responsibilities:

§ Tracking student progress through the MIS (ISAMS)

§ Management of the school use of CEM data

§ Overseeing interventions programme

§ Monitoring the quality of teaching and learning, curriculum covering across the primary and secondary school

§ Contributing to the whole school teaching and learning, students well-being policy

§ Working with SEN department to provide a suitable programme and support for SEN students.

§ Working with the Leadership team to run relevant inset

§ Manage Secondary Sharing good practice sessions

§ Overseeing the Curriculum assistant of all subjects of National curriculum and curriculum delivered in Chinese of G1-9 to ensure that the mentoring programme runs successfully

§ Managing the Mapping and reporting of the Curriculum

§ Leading the Learning Representatives scheme

§ Parental liaison

§ Lead students well- being program

§ Closely work and support teachers to solve students and parents’ issues.

§ Work closely with Co-principals to make sure annual school inspection success

§ Provide workshops to parents

§ To join in related meetings of government and Education Committee and take meeting minutes to report to Co-principals on time

§ Good quality of subject teaching

§ Keep good record of documents which teachers submitted in computer and school computer system

§ Related works which Co-principals assign
