Job Description

As a leading hotel in the luxury market, Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is looking for an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join this beautiful property!

This Forbes 5-Star, AAA 5-Diamond hotel has 170 rooms, 6,300 square feet of banquet space, and 4 food and beverage outlets. This includes 2 Jean-Georges concepted restaurants, lobby lounge, and in-room dining.

 

In this role, you will provide True Waldorf Service leading the evening shift managing a team of 20 ensuring efficiency, attention to detail and excellence. 

 

The ideal candidate will exude professionalism and a sense of urgency with a background in luxury hotels. At least one (1) year of supervisory and housekeeping experience is required. Bilingual in Spanish and union experience are a plus.

What will I be doing?

As an Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you would be responsible for managing daily Housekeeping operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Manage daily Housekeeping operations to include, but not limited to, maintaining cleanliness, service and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms
  • Ensure rooms are clean and available to guests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Lead, train and supervise room/suite attendants and housepersons on a floor/in an area to ensure all rooms/suites and public areas meet established cleanliness and quality standards
  • Assess inventory of, assign, inspect and verify and reports status of rooms/suites
  • Monitor payroll reports, work schedules and lost and found program
  • Ensure stock rooms and carts are maintained with proper supplies
  • Keep designated inventories (i.e. linen, etc.) and ensures stock rooms and carts are maintained with proper supplies
  • Communicate and coordinate with Engineering/Property Operations to ensure the efficient repair and maintenance of items related to guestrooms and public areas.
