Job Description

The Ideal candidate is responsible for managing the operational support, maintenance, and development activities for organization business applications, IT & computer systems.

 

Job Description:

l   Lead on the development and implementation on application(s):

  • Business analysis and requirements definition- investigate and analyze business processes and information used, facilitating agreement on the requirements for business application change initiatives that meet the organization’s objectives;
  • Applications development and integration- manage all stages of individual business application development and integration projects to meet the organization’s objectives;
  • Testing- coordinate and manage testing within application development projects, as well as taking responsibility for the integrity of testing activities across all system changes;
  • Application Support: Provides ongoing troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of applications, either directly or via 3rd party (vendors/ agencies/ consultants) support;
  • Database administration: Manages database configuration, maintenance and support;

l   Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems;

l   Acts as a focal point for communicating related system problems within/ among department(s) and collaborates with other teams and vendors/ agencies/ consultants on changes, fixes and updates;

l   Works closely with all other departments and management in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and implementing specific information technologies that support the business plans and IT strategies;

l   Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, applications, policies and procedures;

l   Assists with the preparation of budget for IT system/ Server maintenance / applications/ services and ensure cost effectiveness

 

Qualifications:

l   Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information system, with at least 5 year solid work experience ;

l   Strong knowledge of business application development in Oracle NetSuite and WMS preferred, and of computer hardware/ software systems;

l   Knowledge and understanding in wholesales/ trading industry and ability to lead large-scale complex IT projects in addressing overall business needs is a plus;

l   Excellent in interpersonal and communication skills;

l   Highly self-motivated and able to work under tight timeline;
