Job Purpose / Summary

The individual will manage a team of data analysts that use data analytics and BI tools to provide insight into performance of BBU Insights & Analytics operations and suggest area and methods of optimizing. Implements and oversees the analytical approaches and methodologies. Presents insight and recommendations to stakeholders for decision making and planning. GCO and business stakeholders have high expectations for quality and efficiency. As such, the Lead must be adept at managing multiple (and sometimes competing) priorities, while ensuring quality and timely deliverables for our end. Lead will look to develop their employees, creating an outstanding level of quality and performance across their service areas. High accountability and results orientation are critical, while also demonstrating the ability to leverage several different leadership styles as appropriate to achieve both a high-performing and a highly engaged team.

The lead will be empowered to deliver end-to-end analytics applications. This individual will develop strategies to deliver everything from training of embedded business analysts, to ad hoc analyses and insights and use data analytics for optimization. The focus will be on the front-end of the business, optimizing decisions related to BBU Insights & Analytics programs.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Collect business requirements and ask probing questions to fully understand business needs and how they relate to key performance measurements.
  • Create, maintain, and interpret dashboards and reports, including long-term trends, campaign and/or page performance, and customer segments
  • Lead and develop a team of data analysts
  • Oversee all analytics operations to correct discrepancies and ensure quality
  • Lead monthly governance meetings. Represent the measurement team at stakeholder meetings and governance meetings.
  • Coordinating with different teams / stakeholders to ensure any major incidents are managed professionally
  • Ensuring completion of all services in accordance with global compliance and market legal and regulatory requirements and within GCO budget guidelines.
  • Conducting all aspects of the human resources processes, including development of annual objectives, performance appraisals, individual development plans, and career counseling and coaching feedback for continuous improvement.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5-7+ years’ experience working in Sales, Marketing, or Business Services, preferably in Life Sciences Industry.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably leading, managing and developing large teams of professionals.
  • 5+ years of experience in customer facing operations environment.
  • Experience of working with multiple 3rd party providers, including information technology partners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with demonstrated experience building trusted relationships with key stakeholders. Proven cross-functional collaboration skills across organizations, functions, and markets is preferred.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving. 
  • Proven ability to learn in a rapidly evolving environment. Ability to grasp and understand new technology and concepts quickly and readily apply learnings.
  • Experience working in globally distributed team.

Desirable

  • Pharmaceutical experience; or other highly-regulated environment
  • Digital Marketing experience.
  • Talent management and developing others.
  • Proven track record working cross functionally with high level of commitment and follow through.
