Mission The Accountant will work with his or her Manager and HQ to oversee accounting processes for closing and reporting. The Accountant will also work directly with the business on accounting activities such as vendor payments, customer receipts etc. The candidate will also be responsible for booking of journal entries, fixed assets, account reconciliations and coordination with internal / external auditors. The Accountant will provide support and guidance in accordance to Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and communicate changes related to the Reporting and Accounting guidelines. The candidate will analyze and maintain ledger accounts and related activities to produce financial statements and fiscal reports and will ensure accurate and complete monthly reporting. What are my Responsibilities: · You will be supporting and interacting with business to provide accounting support during month end/quarter end closing (e.g. posting of journal entries) · Coordinating and interacting with Accounting Hub and prepares monthly reporting packages and analysis for regular monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements · Responsible for the approval and release of journals for manual adjustments requested by business · Provides monthly accounting governance and closing activities for the allocated area and alignment critical topics with Accounting Hub · Monitors ledger account reconciliations prepared by business/legal entity and follows up and clears anomalies identified · Performs quarterly Balance Sheet reviews, and investigates and clears anomalies · Execute assigned tasks and activities with high efficiency and quality following the company rules, regulations, policies and/or instructions · Posting and reconciliation of bank cash transactions, accounts & GL · Monitoring and clearing of GR/IR & regrouping · Posting of ICC invoices, debit & credit notes received during the month and reconciliation and matching of the respective accounts · Ability to multi-task and prioritize · Maintain and process complex entries in accordance with IFRS/GAAP requirements · Prepare journal entries and analyze complex schedules · Implement process improvements; special projects as assigned. · Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office 365 · Accuracy and attention to detail is critical · Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills What do I need to qualify for this job? · Possesses Bachelor Degree in Accountancy or equivalent · Accounting knowledge and understanding of end to end business process and its various controls · Experience within shared services environment will have added advantage · Typically 3-5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key · Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. · Proficiency in Microsoft Excel · Proficiency in ERP e.g. SAP FICO Education: BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
