Reports to: Cargo Operation Centre Manager - Operations
Department: Cargo (CGO)
The job holder will manage and oversee all activities in Cargo Office and cargo-related matters on ramp. He/she will provide the required DG information to IOC upon request. He/she will also plan, monitor and co-ordinate the activities of the units to achieve the optimum use of the resources and manpower so to maximize productivity and meet customer needs and to achieve operational efficiency by ensuring both safety and regulatory requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize manpower ensuring all services provided are up to or exceed standard
- Ensure all procedures and regulations are understood and followed by all staff members
- Conduct daily briefings to ensure the communication flow between staff and management is constantly carried out in an effective way
- Make decision for a hard situation during the absence of Cargo Operation Centre Manager
- Maintain good relationship with customers, CTO, RHO and government bodies
- Coordinate closely with Cargo Revenue Management team and Hong Kong Cargo Sales team with an aim to optimizing space/payload utilization.
- Oversea OEO operations to ensure on time performance and optimum uplift
- Executive E&A and BCP procedures
- Monitor the performance of service providers to ensure CX standards are met
- Solve problems in a sensitive way particularly when there are disputes among staff members
- Ensure safe operations be kept at all times
- Evaluate performance and give assessment to Cargo Operation Centre Manager
- Propose creative plan regarding better utilization and productivity to management.
- Control and manage the ULD inventory level to meet with the demands during seasonal peaks for both passenger and freighter services
- Perform duties as delegated by COCM
- Flexibility to work on shift schedules (including overnight and weekends)
Requirements:
Skills
- Good command of both spoken and written English. Spoken and written Chinese is preferred
- Good analytical, problem solving and planning skills
- A self-motivated leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to interact with people at all levels and from different cultural backgrounds
- Sound PC knowledge in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Knowledge
- Tertiary education or equivalent
Experience
- Minimum 5 years airline experience in cargo operations with at least 3 years supervisory experience. Freighter load control and freighter ramp/loading operations experience would be an advantage.
